The Atari Lynx was one of the first ambitious color handhelds. Originally designed at Epyx, it impressed with its screen, sprite handling and reversible layout.

Against Game Boy it suffered from price, battery life and Nintendo's marketing power, but its fullset remains loved for arcade games and manageable size.
