The Sega Saturn launched in 1994 in Japan and 1995 in the West. Built for 2D arcade power during the shift to 3D, it suffered against PlayStation.

Its modern reputation is far stronger than its sales career: shooters, fighting games, Sega arcade titles and Japanese gems make it a demanding collector system.
